Veterans Planning

Attorney Herb Chavers has experience working with veterans as they work with The Department of Veteran’s Affairs to secure their monthly benefits for disability, medical care, and pension.  One example of available benefits is VA Aid and Attendance.  VA Aid and Attendance is a “special monthly pension” available to wartime veterans or surviving spouses of wartime veterans. This benefit is an additional benefit that a veteran or surviving spouse who is already entitled to certain VA pension benefits may be entitled to. upon meeting certain medical and financial requirements. Aid and Attendance differs from compensation, which is available to all veterans who suffer from a service-connected disability.

If you are a military veteran, and want to learn if your meet the medical and financial requirements for veterans benefits, contact attorney Herb Chavers today.

Veterans Planning Process

The Veterans Planning Process takes about three to four weeks to complete following the Plan Design Meeting. After the plan design meeting, you will return to our office for the Veterans Plan Signing Meeting.  At this time, all of your planning documents have been prepared.  We will review them with you in detail, carefully explain each document and point out what the documents do for you and how they interact with each other.  If they meet with your approval, you will sign the documents and implement your comprehensive Veterans Plan at that time.  Depending upon your questions, Signing Meetings normally last approximately 1 ½ to 2 hours.
